VVierkanttretlager were formed in 2007 by Leif Boe, Momme Friedrichsen, Max Leßmann and Christian Topf in Husum, a northern-german harbour town. With “Penzion Kanonir” they released their first EP in 2010, which was followed by their first regular album “Die Natur greift an” in 2012. Both records were produced by Gregor Henning.
Also in 2012 they made the sixth position in the „Bundesvisionsongcontest“, a contest where each region of Germany is represented by an actor/band, starting for Schleswig-Holstein. They backed Casper, Kraftklub and Madsen and played numerous gigs and festivals in that year.
After Friedrichsens departure in 2012, they were shortly joined by Jens Mehring („Ghost Of Tom Joad“) on bass, before they went on as a trio.
In 2013/2014 they recorded the album “Krieg&Krieg” with producer Olaf O.P.A.L. (The Notwist, Juli), which is going to be released in April 2015 and which will be joined by a tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
